October 5th - Maintenance

Monthly update:

What summer it's been! A season of dry trails, this was out first proper chance to get to work on the trails and it was AMAZING. The trails were busy and we had plenty come out to volunteer their time to maintain and look after the woodland!

Committee members present:4

Community volunteers: 18

We carried work out on the following:

OG Middle section

Monthly observations:

The trails are running well after a busy summer season but the first of the winter storms are effecting the woodland with a few trees snapping and causing issues. Specifically one at the top of OG which we have taped off and have informed the council. Please don't take the tape down until the council can resolve the issue.

Generally the site has been busy with local mountain bikers, Surrons are not causing as much issue as in the height of summer.

Litter - Low levels across the site thanks to dedicated locals carrying out regular litter picks

Future:

We are looking at sponsorship options with a local bike shop to allow us to continue our maintenance.

We are looking to organise group rides working with MTB Outlaws. Hopefully get out with everyone for some adventures together!
