November 30th - Maintenance
Monthly update:
November 2025 saw a brilliant turn out to tend to some damp trails! After a long autumn and the winter nights setting in all our attention went to clearing leaves, puddles and making FreeRide ride as it should!
Committee members present:2
Community volunteers: 8
We carried work out on the following:
Site wide litter pick conducted.
Leaves have been raked off all trails making them ride as well as they can for the time of year.
Drainage was cleared at multiple spots on the hill.
Top layer of dirt was scraped off on freeride to make the trail ride well.
Monthly observations:
Hemlock still persists to be a busy local riding destination for Midlands riders. The good weather bought out 25+ riders on the day with 10 volunteers giving their time to the trails.
Litter was at a medium level, we started with a litter pick to clean up the site.
Future:
Ongoing discussions with Specialized Nottingham about sponsorship are in place and we are hopeful to be working with them in 2026.
Ride outs are coming in 2026! We are hoping to team up with MTB Outlaws to do some ride out days for our volunteers.
