January 2025
Monthly update:
Bringing in 2025 with our first maintenance day of the year saw a great turn out on the hill and a brilliant team of volunteers helping to maintain the Berm Burner trail.
Maintenance day:
Committee members present: 3
Community volunteers: 15
We carried work out on the following:
Berm Burner saw work to it's berms from top to bottom helping to reduce breaking bump and fixing up corners that had worn away.
Monthly observations:
Brilliant usage throughout January with us counting 40 users on the hill today despite the damp conditions (people telling us there was more yesterday.)
Litter on the site is down substantially, the community are looking after the space and there's a culture shift creeping in.
No un sanctioned trails or damage to the woodland.
Future:
We will keep maintaining the trails on the last Sunday of every month.
