December 29th - Maintenance
Monthly update:
Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Bringing us to an end of what has been one of our most successful years of maintaining the trails! A brilliant turn out for our final maintenance day of the year.
Committee members present: 3
Community volunteers: 12
We carried work out on the following:
Site wide litter pick conducted.
Lower free ride berms and hip re worked to remove severe braking bumps and some damage caused by electric motorbikes.
Drainage cleared across the site ahead of more winter months.
Monthly observations:
This month sadly saw illegal electric motorbikes using the site - if you witness these in person we have been advised by the council to contact the police on 111 to report the incident.
Litter across the holiday season has been ever present but a dedicated local team continue to regularly litter pick the woods.
Future:
Moving into 2026 we are hoping to agree sponsorship with a local bike shop and hopefully spread our wings into organising ride out activities for our community with MTB Outlaws.
Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who made 2025 an absolute pleasure. We look forwards to 2026 and celebrating our 10 year anniversary in style.
